If you have shares in an account with a stockbroker, or online share trading account, they will be what’s known as CHESS sponsored. Your stockbroking account will have a unique ten digit number that begins with an ‘X’, called a Holder Identification Number (HIN). All shares in this stockbroking account will be registered to the HIN.  It’s also handy to know you that if you have more than one stockbroking account with different brokers, you will have one HIN for each.

If you don’t have a stockbroking account, or if your shares aren’t in your stockbroking account, they will be what’s known as Issuer Sponsored by the company’s share registry which are tracked using a Security Reference Number (SRN), which is a about ten or eleven digit number beginning with an ‘I’.  You will have a different SRN for each different company that you own shares in.

If you are Chess Sponsored (Holder Identification Number (HIN) starting with ‘X’) you will need to inform your broker who will arrange for the change to be noted in the CHESS register.

If you are Issuer Sponsored (Shareholder Reference Number (SRN) starting with ‘I’) you can update your postal or email address online via Link’s Investor Login here. If you prefer to provide the details in writing, you can download the appropriate form from the Link Market Services Limited website and mail this to:

ERM Power has a Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRP) which when active, allows shareholders to reinvest dividends in ERM Power and acquire additional shares. However following the announcement of the share buy-back on 22 February 2018, ERM Power’s DRP has been suspended until further notice.

You can view the Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRP) plan rules online or you can obtain a copy from Link Market Services Limited (telephone 1300 554 474).

Dividend payments to shareholders with a registered address in Australia or New Zealand will only be made by direct credit into a nominated account with an Australian or New Zealand financial institution.

Direct credit is a secure, timely and cost effective method for receiving dividends. There is no delay in awaiting the delivery of a cheque, the funds are deposited on the dividend payment date and cleared almost immediately for your use.

You can provide your bank account details via your broker or on-line trading account, or directly via the Share Registry login here. Alternatively, you can complete and return a Request for Direct Credit of Payments form from the Link Market Services Limited website

For overseas shareholders without an Australian or New Zealand bank account, you will continue to receive dividends via cheque.

In future, if the ERM Power Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRP) is re-activated, shareholders with a registered address in Australia or New Zealand will be able to participate in ERM Power’s DRP. At the time, shareholders will be notified by way of an ASX announcement.

If you have elected to participate in the DRP, your dividend statement will include the number of shares allocated under the DRP at the same time as payment of any cash dividend.

ERM Power pays a dividend twice a year, usually in the months of April and October.
