The Smart Way to Contract Solar For Your Business - Solar PPA

ERM Power is changing the way Australian businesses can access solar energy through the revolutionary technology of Solpod.

Entering into an ERM Power Solar Power Purchase Agreement allows customers to receive the benefits of solar without the upfront capital costs, or maintenance responsibilities, of traditional solar.

What are the benefits of a Solar PPA?

Choosing ERM’s portable solar technology Solpod for your business unlocks a range of benefits without many of the drawbacks of traditional solar installations.

Portable pods, prefabricated for minimum installation disruption and maximum quality control, provide a flexible, cost effective way for your business to access clean energy through on-premises solar.

Solar PPAs avoid many of the barriers to the installation of traditional onsite solar systems, such as:

  • High upfront capital costs.
  • System performance risk.
  • Availability of shorter term arrangements, and for tenants (with landlord consent).

What is a Solar Power Purchase Agreement?

A Solar PPA is an agreement under which a third-party owns, operates, and maintains the photovoltaic (PV) system (e.g. Solpod) and a host customer agrees to site the system on its property and purchases the system's electric output from the solar services provider for a predetermined period. The customer has no ownership interest in the system, and simply obtains the benefit of being able to purchase solar energy for its premises for the agreed term. Utilising Solpod technology means the system can be easily removed at the end of the term.
